Run Jordan Supports the Arab Cross-Country Championship Through Strategic Collaboration with Official Entities

Hasadnews –  As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting running and supporting major sports events, Run Jordan has announced its support for the 27th Arab Cross-Country Championship. The championship, hosted by the Jordanian Athletics Federation, will take place on Saturday, February 15, at the Dead Sea, with the participation of 13 Arab countries and approximately 240 athletes and officials.

This support comes through a strategic collaboration between Run Jordan, the Greater Amman Municipality, and relevant official entities to ensure the championship is organized according to the highest logistical and technical standards. This reflects Jordan’s dedication to providing an exceptional experience for participating athletes.

In this context, Ms. Lina El- Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan and a Board Member of the Interim Committee of the Jordanian Athletics Federation, emphasized the importance of this event, stating:

“At Run Jordan, we believe that sports, particularly running, serve as a bridge to enhance unity and Arab solidarity. Our support for this championship come from our firm belief in the significance of hosting major sporting events in Jordan and our commitment to providing a fully integrated sports environment that honors the participants and strengthens the Kingdom’s position as a distinguished regional sports destination.”

El-Kurd added that selecting the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, presents a unique opportunity to promote Jordan as both a sports and tourist destination, especially given the warm and ideal weather conditions the region enjoys during this time of the year.

It is worth mentioning that the championship is organized under the supervision of the Jordanian Athletics Federation and in collaboration with the Arab Athletics Federation. It includes multiple age categories, where Arab athletes will compete in various distances, with teams preparing intensively to achieve the best results.

It is also worth mentioning that the Run Jordan has begun preparations for the Dead Sea Ultra marathon, which will take place on April 11, 2025, at the Dead Sea in its 29th edition.
