Zain Renews Support for Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans for the 14th Consecutive Year

Hasadnews –  In line with its core commitment to empowering youth and advancing education, and as part of its social responsibility, Zain Jordan has renewed its memorandum of understanding with Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans — one of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah’s institutes— extending its support for the 14th consecutive year. Through this ongoing partnership, Zain Jordan continues to provide university scholarships to orphaned youth supported by the fund, enabling them to build a brighter and more stable future.

The renewed memorandum was signed by Zain Jordan CEO Fahad Al-Jasim and Al-Aman Fund General Manager Noor Al-Hamoud. Zain Jordan reaffirmed that its support falls under the company’s sustainability strategy, reflecting its belief in equal opportunity, and its ongoing efforts to empower orphaned youth and contribute to developing a distinguished generation capable of leading the future. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4: (Quality Education), and Goal 17: (Partnerships for the Goals).

Under this year’s agreement, Zain Jordan will provide JOD 25,000 in financial support, bringing the company’s total contribution to JOD 475,710 to date. The total number of beneficiaries who have received scholarships from Zain has reached 170 young men and women.

Over the years, Zain’s support for Al-Aman Fund has taken various forms. In 2019, the company awarded five university scholarships in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Rania’s birthday, covering four years of education. In 2020, Zain allocated five-year engineering scholarships to three young women. In 2023, Zain also covered housing rent for five female students, with a donation of JOD 10,000 in celebration of Her Majesty’s birthday in 2024. Additionally, in 2024, Zain sponsored the Fund’s annual charity dinner, with all proceeds directed towards education for the Fund’s youth.

Zain continues to support Al-Aman Fund’s fundraising activities through both in-kind contributions and direct participation in campaigns such as the year-end drive and the Ramadan 2025 initiative, in addition to promoting the fund’s efforts among the public. The company also provides telecommunications and internet services to support the Fund’s operations.

Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans is a charitable organization founded in 2006 by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. It aims to empower orphaned youth over the age of 18 who have graduated from care centers or live in underprivileged areas, by offering education, living support, capacity-building, and personal development programs. Since its inception, the Fund has supported over 4,940 orphans — 66% of whom are female — and helped 3,556 graduates embark on their professional journeys, with 726 currently enrolled in educational institutions.
